FAQs

Is hypnosis dangerous?

The Ancient and modern Art and Science of Hypnosis - in the right hands - is generally considered safe. It induces a profound state of relaxation, similar to meditation. In this state, individuals become more attuned to their inner world than in a typical conscious state.

Does the participant fall asleep during hypnosis?

No, participants do not fall asleep during hypnosis. Brainwave patterns indicate that trance states differ from sleep. While there may be some similarities between deep trance states and sleep, the hypnotist and participant maintain an open channel of communication. This communication link would be lost if the participant were to fall asleep. Hypnosis is best understood as an altered state of consciousness. In this state, the conscious conditioned mind is bypassed, allowing direct communication with the unconscious mind and body on cellular level. This communication is less hindered by the critical faculties of the conditioned mind.

Will I remember everything when I wake up?

Yes, you will remember everything. During hypnosis, the therapist may guide you to describe your experiences, occasionally prompting with questions such as "What colours can you see?" or "What day / time did your body start to develop the present condition / situation”. While the therapist may choose to document your responses for reference, regardless, you will retain full recall of the session.
